Ron Dunkley died from his injuries on Tuesday. Dean Shelton with the Marysville Washington Fire Department says they will escort him to the Pac Highway Truck Crossing today. "As firefighters, we don't really have boundaries when called upon, we'll do whatever we can do to assist the fire department, whether that be in Canada or the United States."

Shelton was met on the Canadian side by the Langley City and Surrey Fire Departments as well as the Langley Ambulance Service.

Members of the Langley Fire Department held onto one another and sobbed as Dunkley's body was brought across the border. He had been with the department for 14 years.

The procession will travel to the Henderson's funeral home.
