VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - It's one legacy of the 2010 Winter Olympics that never really seemed to catch on with buyers.
The last time we checked in with the former Athlete's Village was about six months ago. What was a veritable ghost-town then isn't exactly a beehive of activity now. There is now a full-service community centre, a neighbourhood liquor store, and a TD Bank. But there's still no London Drugs or Urban Fare; just signs promising they're coming soon.
Receiver Ernst & Young says it has responded to inquiries from interested buyers, but there are still 450 units up for sale. Everybody loves a deal; Perhaps curious buyers are waiting for this weekend's expected marketing blitz. A new marketing plan and reduced prices are expected to launch with the official one-year anniversary of the 2010 Winter Games this weekend.
