唔知應唔應該放o係呢個section
今日去BMO 拎錢,順便問o下RRSP,個teller叫我等一陣,行o左去房搵人幫我
出返o黎話: she prefers you to have an appointment...
我問佢無appointment 係咪唔可以問o野,個teller 話佢可以做o既只係book appointment
雖然係RRSP season,佢o地好忙...但係感覺唔係幾好
結果自己打去搵另一間分行o既banker 問..

Oh I had a similar experience on last Sunday.

I called the BMO Chinese hotline to get to the RRSP service, I was first greeted with Mandarin voice recordings and after a loooooong wait the person who picked up the phone was an English speaking one, ok fine...

Then it turns out that he couldn't provide help to me cuz he was from a different area, after another loooooooong wait some gal picked up my line and she said she is a trainee, and obviously have trouble with the process and her tools (I just want to buy some GIC), then the phone disconnected, lol!

45 minutes later I was at a TD branch and requested to have my BMO RRSP moved there, done. Papers were filled out right away and the whole thing took less than half an hour including the lineup. See ya BMO.

I guess some people just don't deserve to have business.

I think if you are already have a BMO a/c
you will be treated differently.
for me, so far so good

I have canadian and us saving and checking accounts, canadian and us master cards, line of credits, mortgage, RRSP, TSFA with BMO already...quite mad at it

With that much accounts and service with them... you still don't get an account manager? Someone should be mananging your account and calling you to arrange RRSP or GIC way before the deadline.
I did that with my RBC account manager back in late Jan. She always contacts and remind me for things to be done on my account. (phone call or email)

I usually drop in to buy my RRSP at BMO. But I don't go to the teller, I go to the personal account count (or was it business counter...forgot the name, but it's not the usual line up for teller) and they usually have someone to serve me within 5 minutes.

I still study some classes at UBC, using student banking, free of charge..haha..
may be they don't want to deal with me...

same here. Account manager will call and remind me when my GIC is due for renewal, or when its close to RRSP season etc....

but my friend said if you have too much $ then you won't use some of their services... esp at the bank.
You will likely have your own fancial advicer somewhere else and you don't need to borrow $ from them.
Anyway, they should re-think... the way things are done...

My dad complained BMO a lot when he was using it, he always say unless you are Indians or whites, you'll be treat like **** at BMO. Now he's with RBC.

I rather go to TD bank if you are lazy index fund buyers like me. Their RRSP fees are a lot lower. Index funds about 0.33% at TD, other banks is around 1%. It is big money you have a long way to go for retirement.
