Vancouver-South expected to be a battleground again
In 2008, the Liberals won the riding by just 20 votes

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - In one of the closest races in BC in the last federal election, Ujjal Dosanjh won the Vancouver-South riding by just 20 votes. Now, he and runner-up Wai Young are ready to battle it out once again.
Dosanjh says many Liberal voters thought his was the safest seat in British Columbia and simply stayed at home. He says if more people had come out to vote, he would have won by a much larger margin.
But he's learned his lesson, and is planning to put up a fight. "After having had a near death experience in 2008, I've been working very hard. It's going to be a very close race."
But Conservatives' Young says the neck-and-neck race made her realize she has a good shot at winning a seat in Ottawa, and she's feeling confident. "People sort of have this image of my opponent as being this Goliath, and I was a little David, and we proved that I am not a little David."
