I still find the list strange...
why do we seperated all the Chinese and Asian resturants but only have two for non-asian ones....

Almost like... steak = non-asian restaurants...
It's acutally hard to tell apart 5 and 6....
Unless they are actually steak houses... (e.g. Gothams or Shore Club)
how about Casual fine dine? Or west coast? How about those chains which charge for $15+ for a main but their food is only casual? (like Earls... or Cactus)
So they are all 5?
And only white spot, boston pizza, Danny's and ABC are 6?

woo. how about dim sum?

Guess I am not one of the "most".
I go to 茶餐廳 once a week back then when I played badminton cos my group like to go there after the game for late dinner.
Since I stop playing, I only went to 茶餐廳 once in the last 3 or 4 months!

Not me

When you have nowhere in your mind, just go to 茶餐廳.

For boyfriend and I, we eat out a few times a week.

Japanese: easily ~$40 /__\
even Denny's ~$30
Taiwanese with bubble tea is also ~$30
Aberdeen foodcourt $15

so expensive to eat out.

I have been eating a lot of fine Chinese food lately,
trying out the signature dishes of the master chefs
from top Chinese restaurants.
Lots more until June 15th.  The best part is:
I don't have to pay

It is part of my line of work, dealing with the top chefs.    Considering it as reward for hundreds of hours volunteering work.

today, took my bro-in-law and my niece to do tourist stuff.
We were walking around Gastown at noonish. End up, my niece wants to go to Spaghetti House for lunch... well, kids...
Not wanting to eat their spaghetti, I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and ... it's huge for $8.xx. I guess it's ~$10 tax n tips. Also included a green salad and coffee. I ate half for lunch.
Just ate the other half as dinner tonite.
So $10 for me today. (had toast and coffee as breakfast at home before I met up with them)

What do you do with 300 live lobsters,
60 premium king crabs,  120 Lb. Prime tenderloin,
300 duck breast,  500 portions Arctic Char,
500 squab, 200 lb spotted prawns, 100 lb Matzutake mushroom
and 16 Top Chinese chefs in Pacific West Coast,2 world champion ice carvers from Shanghai.
That is my problem

16 award winning  Chinese chefs cooking, supported by 600 chefs.
    125 international media reporting.
Vancouver never seen such a gathering of chefs under one roof.
It is a professional and cultural event, nothing to do with business.
I am elected as the chair and host of the international event.
Well, I have a delegation  from Shanghai  and Harbin attending as my guest.
