內地富豪圈近年流傳一句話：「在香港沒有豪宅，都不算有錢！」為了「要威」，這股超級強勁購買力，來勢洶洶殺入本港，連傳統豪宅帝景園、會景閣和九龍站亦嫌不夠豪，反之轉而狂掃賣一件少一件的山頂及南區獨立屋，出手又快又狠。

恒地主席李兆基曾用「女人買手袋」妙喻內地富豪來港買樓的心態：「豪客買樓不貴不買，不靚不買，不是名牌不買，就好像女人買手袋，要買幾十萬一個才高興，幾百元的根本看不上眼！」

FY ..  good say this time ...

~ in 80's ... HK was flying ...  Japan ..  then US ... not India/China ..

But just a bit abnormal ...  nothing's wrong to hv more and more rich people ..  but need education to back up .. ( say HK, lots of people were sent oversea back to 80's/90's )

And ...  those rich mainlanders .. are just not secure .. they have lots of $ .. billion today .. but they don't know about tomorrow ..  that is why, they rather spend .. and they can't spend and buy too much ultra luxury homes in China .. but over sea .. (even it is SEMI open that their money from under table ...  )

Are you kidding? Lots of mainland Chinese are studying overseas now.
China is the largest source of foreign students in the US and major source in many other countries.

But China's 經濟起飛 is only at early stages. Today's China is like Hong Kong in the 70s/80s, the economy just starting to surge upward. The difference is that China's population is two hundred times larger than HK's and ten times larger than Japan's.

Another difference, around the world, is that consumerism and materialism today is a lot more popular today than in the 70s/80s.
This international consumerism, coincides with the rapid rise of Chinese consumers. There are just a lot more stuff for rich people to buy, like real estate, cars and handbags etc.

Yes, lots of mainlanders are going oversea .. which means they know they need to learn from other countries as well .. but .. still very small % ...

Again .. they are rich now, not mean a bas thing .. just ... well ....

This prejudice is similar to 1985-1997, when the local Canadians people thought all the Hong Kong prosperous immigrants were members of the drug dealing triads.

唔好玩啦～係咁易有返多少人脈嘅話，真係要 smuggle 啲錢入來又有幾難？就連本地嘅星島周刊呢啲咁普通嘅雜誌都報導過內地同胞各種唔同運錢入來嘅途徑啦。

又話自己係富二代定乜春，口講一套，心知另一套咪就係你呢挺契弟囉～

You are talking about smuggling millions of dollars into Canada. Not HK!

There are very strict monetary transfer policies in US and Canada.

Did you know that in Sea/Tac Airport, there are undercover US police/customs officers that can conduct random searches on any
traveler's bags any time? I am sure there are similar things in YVR.

hahaha, you are right, transferring money into Hong Kong the proper way, is always easy, regardless of how the money was made.

But the prejudice is that they got rich through corruption. We all know there is corruption in China and all other countries, but so what.
Most of the people in China still got rich through hard work and the proper way.

You should just control your jealousy of the rapid rise of the Chinese economy.

If what you said is true, I think the Canada monetary control is much loose than US. I am very familiar with US bank wiring procedures, and you just cannot smuggle money into US very easily, especially after 911.

我都係響星島周刊（定明報果本）度睇返來，得閒呃你呀？記得個專題講咗最少幾隻方法，但我淨係記得有一隻好似係中國大陸果邊唔知點會用幾個唔同人定戶口等係 approve 生意來過數，令到每一舊錢唔太大，亦唔會過大陸同加拿大兩邊嘅警界線。總之就係幫你由大陸搬到舊錢過來加拿大啦。

特別係響國內果邊，你有人事關係同網絡，有乜野程序上嘅事係做唔到？就算係假身份、假履歷都全部無問題啦～

唔好詐傻話俾我聽你唔知、唔識呢啲野呀？我唔信㗎～

There are 250,000 immigrants each year arriving.
All of them need to transfer as much money as they need into the country, for buying or renting a house/apartment. There is no need to play tricks here.
New immigrants that land in Canada can take with them money, jewellery, furniture etc
Personal items like clothings and furniture etc are usually shipped by containers.
