I haven't been to India myself but I know quite a few people had been to and worked in India. They did not have a very good impressions of India in many areas.
One person that I know is a Asia Pacific manager of a MNC (multi-national corporation) actually voluntarily gave up his managing responsibility of India to his counter-part who is the regional manager of Europe. Oh.. really? I personally haven't known anyone that love to go India more than other countries for travel except two cases:
1) Indians living in Canada
2) Cousin of my friend who is a 虔誠佛教徒 and went to India to visit the place where 釋迦牟尼頓悟.
Compare to China, will you say China is more popular or India?
