Pro basketball might be gone from Vancouver but NBA Jam Session is back this weekend. Test your skills on the court against NBA legend Robert Horry and watch a performance by the Harlem Globetrotters. It's Saturday until 5 p.m. at Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza.
Ever wanted to pedal up a mountain? Now you can in Saturday's Cypress Challenge to raise money for pancreatic cancer. It's a 5 or 13 kilometre ride straight up the hill that would make Tour de France riders a bit weak.
Up the Sunshine Coast, the Synchronicity Festival is on all weekend in Gibsons. The carnival-like event in the lush Shirley Macey Park features an outdoor circus, live music and local food and wine.
