Of course la. The MkIII is way overdue anyway. It'd be interesting to see what sort of specs Canon has for the next iteration of the camera.

Yeah.. I sold both my DSLRs few months ago. Canon Rumors says there might be a lower end FF DSLR, but I am waiting for a 5Dm3 myself. I like everything about that camera but the AF.

Actually I heard that there might be a new camera coming up in next Feb or Mar, just no idea for what spec it will be.

I also hate the diamond shape focusing field, kind of stupid. Even the 45 points are not corner to corner, which it is critical for using fast lens. The on/off switch location also pissed me a lot. Just don't understand why they can't make it better.

The location of the AF points on the 5D2 right now is pathetic. Canon really needs to re-map the zones and spread them out properly over the FF sensor instead of just cutting costs and dumping some other existing crop body system into the camera.

Good Video.

Shutter sound is much better for Nikon.  I get a boner just listening to it.

Although I am a Canon used,  D700 is a much better camera then 5D II.  Nikon even puts focus tracking on their low end cameras.  For Canon, it is only on 1D/7D series.

Maybe by Xmas, Canon will release a $2500 nikon's D3s.  Don't hate me for my Xmas dream.

But at the end of the day, it is the glass makes the difference. Some wouldn't live without the f1.2.

Anyone uses a canon 50mm 1.2 here? On the internet, some really really love it for the IQ, other really really hate it (the design is flaw from the very beginning).

To me, all lenses have different characters, there is no lens can beat all the rest thing. Photographers need to make good use of every lens.
I have canon 50 1.2, don't have any issues using it.

Actaully, I think the 1 series AF is great, it's already a great camera. But I do like video capability on the 5DM2 and great high ISO capability, so I'll love to see a 5dM2 combine 1DsM3 product.

That's true, the focusing on 5D II is a mess as compared to the price... But hey, everyone knows it's not for sport or wildlife photography...
