Here in Canada we have greedy Chinese businesses turn Basa into Sole after Chinese translation, both "Lung Lei" in Chinese.  Same thing.  Why didn't you complain about it then?  Also there were news article about this like 5 years ago... why bring up old issues and stuffs just to bash China?

Many Sushi place use tilapia to replace tai here, why didn't you rant about it?

Do we have any chance to eat those rats here?  Stupid China basher.

Stupid Lik, go expands your world view before opening your mouth.

Vietnamese use rats for dishes.  South Americans also use guinea pigs which is a rodent family (biologically) for dishes as well.  China still eat "field rats" as well.

Clean or not doesn't matter after being gutted and cooked.  That's why your logic is flawed.  The point you can only make is the product you are supposed to get was being swapped by a cheaper product.

You are once again exposed of being just a self-hater.  No more discussion needed to be wasted on you.  I just like to expose how hypocritic and narrow-minded you are to the fellow LYK for laughs.  Your previous reply helped me to achieve that goal once again easily.

hahahah, Mr Lik himself is 賤人.

nah, I don't think any of the LYK will have a chance to eat rats in China.
More likely, they will eat rats in places like Thailand, or South America.

Moron,

If the guinea pigs are bred for human consumption, then of course there would be no problem eating them. Rats are also a culinary delicacy in Mongolia. "Field rats" are fine as food because they eat plant stuff that is grown on the field -- hence the name "field rats".

The problem here is not that rodents are eaten. The problem is, those rats are of unknown origins, which likely means they are just caught wherever -- from the streets, from the sewers, from the kitchen, etc. They are most likely not raised in a domesticated / controlled manner where their feed is clean, known, and under control. Rats are scavengers by nature, and they will eat whatever they can find in their regular habitat. With no control over their food sources, that could easily include all sorts of garbage and poisonous stuff because that's what is found in sewers and back alleys. If the heavy metals and poisons are consumed by the rats, it doesn't matter whether the rats are gutted and cooked or not -- mercury, for example, would build up in muscle tissues, and cannot be destroyed by gutting and cooking.

The fact that I have to explain all this to you and scold you over it is enough proof that you are a shameless low life that will do anything to discredit me and support Grandfather.

Go die la you~

at least they try to clean the rats..you need to give them A for effort there

This is probably faked rat meat. Why would anyone use rat meat? You have to catch these rats. The easy way is to just use some flour and add some colour and flavour.
