部車要 auto + A/C。

Toyota should be very close in price for every dealership in BC...

Like you said, you can only ask for more free accessories...

如果係 Corolla/Matrix 嘅話,其實我會建議你買過第二架。

Sorry to say but I strongly recommend NOT to go to Richmond automall. And yes, the "farther" the dealership from central van, the possibly more advantages could be. "Free stuff" could be car mats, mud guards etc, something not really expensive but within $100-200 range most likely. You can also test drive the vehicle(s) you like first, and then do a sincere bargain. The more work they've done, the more chance they want to try their best to close a deal. But yes, be reasonable and polite.

Easy, leave them your name and number. If they follow up with you, means that they are interested in dealing, then you can negotiate with other offers on hand.

Thanks for all the comments.
Ya, I am looking for a fuel efficient hatchback car. I did some research and find Matrix has the most generous passenger + cargo space compared with its same class. I agree that the car itself doesn't look too good though. I want the color white, is it 冷門 color?

O....u looking for toyota? maybe my frd can help u....if u interest,pm me....he is not working in richmond autmall....heehee

Silver and gray are definitely the most popular colour. Green is not very popular at all.

Have you considered the Fit and the newly facelifted Mazda3 at all? The Fit is a little smaller, but the magic seats make the cargo area extremely flexible. The new Mazda3 with the 2.0L SkyActiv engine is really good on gas, but I am not 100% certain if that engine is available in the hatchback at the moment. If it is, that would be a better choice than the Matrix.

Beside asking for accessory, if you could ask for $100.00 - $200.00 bird-dog fee is good.

from personal experience, i email all dealers asking for the 'on the road' price of the model  i want, SOME will reply, then you've a kind of 'bottom price' for you to negotiate with whoever you like ! it's much better than just drop into a dealer with no price in mind and want a good deal.

anyone tried auto broker?  I tried that before it was painless.  Just let the broker get the best price, and walk in, do paperwork.  No stupid negotiations needed.

If I buy a 1 year old car from a car rental company, will I still get factory warranty? Such as powertrain for 5 yr, etc.

Rental cars get beat up to death. They are usually relieved of fleet duty after logging 20k - 30k km, but the amount of abuse the engine has seen means you might as well consider the mileage to be a good 2 - 3 times higher.

Additionally, you wouldn't want to know what gets found in the filthiest rental returns. I've worked at car rental company for my summer job back in the day, and it never fails to amaze me the kind of crap their cleaning crew have to put up with, and the amazing cleaning job that they do day-in, day-out.

In one side, when I talk to some buddies in Van, because of those ultra rich cash power mainlander, car dealerships don't need to discount ... You want to negotiate? The next mandarin speaker with pile of cash behind you......

C Hing,

Only those rich mainlanders buying Mercedes, Audi, Bimmer, etc. would go into the dealership with piles of cash and pay MSRP la. There are normal, non-rich Mainlanders as well, and many of those are the absolute stingiest people you'd see. With normal cars, they'd even bargain back and forth over an extra $100 to no end when the negotiated price is already quite cheap.

Typically, u can get at least 4% to 6% for buying Audi or BMW here.  That is about $2500.

C Hing,

You are living the good live when a $50k-60k car is "just and average car". For the majority of people, I think the $15k - $30k range is the average car. Heck, some people never buy new cars for one reason or another la.

Which auto broker is good? I can't find any reviews online. How much comission does auto broker charge?

I ve heard of lower than normal dealer prices offered by auto brokers.   How do they work ?
