U are not going to tell the different .... Say both with kit lens...even go to 1D4 or so......but if u use some good lens, such as 282, 428 etc....will feel the big diff.
I think for speed, they should be close... But for accuracy, it depends more on the lens... For 1.6x crops, I would rather go back for a 50D because it has micro adjustments... Or, I would skip to 7D instead...
yes, lens makes a huge dif. Say 85mm 1.2 v 85 1.8. The f.18 lens is lightning fast. Also wide angle lens are fast. Say 24mm, infinity is only 2m, not much to focus at all.
I think in terms of focus, centre point is always good for all cameras. Only the outer points are different, and you pay big big buck to get good outer points focus
It is a firmware fine-tuning function available for the camera to better incorporate with front focus/back focus issue of the lens. For 1.6x crops, you can find it in 50D and 7D.
