Do they use PURE Canadian spring water for the ice? Or the owner is so confident the demand is inelastic?? $1.45 I can purchase a liter of gasoline already...

I think $1 for cold drinks is reasonable!

But $1.45 is too crazy ba!!

I think this will be my last time going there in a very long time!!

Also their pineapple bun is not that good je!!

Why do people always say they got the best pineapple bun

If they are freshly made of course they are good!!

Try getting it take out and by the time u get home the pineapple bun will taste the same as anywhere else!!!

Honestly, for those restaurants that offer same price for hot and cold drinks, even to add $0.50 makes me feel "expensive", not to say $1.45 la.

To be fair, pineapple bun of course tastes best if you eat in when they freshly come out from the oven after a minute or two. Food such as deep fried chicken wings, roasted pork etc, including freshly baked pineapple bun will certainly not taste the same after taking them home.

I am visiting in HK now and have been to some old "good" tea restaurants, and even they don't ask HKD$10 for cold drinks. I am really enjoying myself back here as food prices are more affordable than in Vancouver. I do miss the good taste and big portion in Vancouver.

To be fair, Lido is one of the few places in Vancouver that has some decent/traditional HK style milk tea and food. It is also the reason why Lido still has lots of customers even their prices are overpriced.

Yes, people like me don't go to Lido as often as they are expensive. Lido can set any prices they want and the customers will decide if it is reasonable.

there are so many people pouring to this restaurant every weekend no matter how expensive they are. I don't think their buns are the most delicious, just because they are freshly made every hour or so
