Probably conflict with firmware, caused a kernel panic and in a restart cycle.

Since many TVs out there without network capability, it's more difficult to update the firmware for those. Even so, I am sure many people will not know how to do that.

The Chinese brands are much better. I would just buy from TCL, Haier, or Skyworth etc.
Avoid the Japanese brands as they are losing market share quickly in China.

Most former iPad display are made by Samsung, and most former MacBook Pro display are made by LG.

Mixing with the newer products of iPad mini and MacBook Pro, both without retina, can somebody gives us some updates about the display manufacturers?

Most display for Apple are made by Philips, Sharp, LG, sometimes I see AUO.

Samsung now makes their stuff for their own use.

That was many years ago. Chinese brands are now displacing Japanese brands and even Korean brands.
