【明報專訊】在1896年已納入首屆奧運的摔跤，日前意外地被國際奧委會（IOC）剔出2020奧運外，各界表示震驚，摔跤強國土耳其、希臘、日本、印度均強烈反對；俄羅斯奧委會稱會上訴。IOC會長羅格昨回應說﹕「一切還沒有定案。」

原本乒乓球及羽毛球均屬「瀕危」項目，但據報15名國際奧委會執委日前經多輪投票，從曲棍球、現代五項、跆拳道及摔跤4個項目篩選，終剔走「最古老」的摔跤。奧委會的決定惹來多個國家群起反對，羅格回應說﹕「我與國際摔跤協會的會長溝通過，我們將盡快會晤。我要澄清的是，昨（前）天的投票，不是將摔跤從奧運踢走，它會在2016年的里約熱內盧比賽，我也可對運動員說，請繼續為進軍里約而努力訓練；你們的協會也繼續為2020的奧運而努力。」摔跤最終會否被剔走，還要待9月大會落實。

新華社質疑選舉欠透明
去年倫敦奧運有71個國家或地區參加摔跤，相反現代五項卻只得26個，論普及程度摔跤大幅領先。《新華社》便質疑選舉欠透明，又指國際奧委會永遠名譽會長薩馬蘭奇之子小薩馬蘭奇是現任世界現代五項聯合會副會長，他也是有份投票的15名執委之一；曲棍球及跆拳道亦各有「靠山」，唯獨摔跤在奧委會內沒「代言人」，自然在投票時吃虧。

Ice hockey is by far the most popular and profitable event at the winter Olympics, The gold medal game tickets go for thousands of dollars or even more.
If ice dancing can be a sport event then ballroom dancing should also be an event at the Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee now recognizes competitive ballroom dance. It has recognized another body, the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF), as the sole representative body for dancesport in the Olympic Games.　However, it seems doubtful that dance will be included in the Olympic Games, especially in light of efforts to reduce the number of participating sports.

現在未成正式包括在olympic game內，但關係已聯上，亦有國家曾提議過，未來好難講喎．

Texas holdem poker當咗sport都好多年，有可能有朝一日，都可以入Olympic都未定

It is unlikely that they will include ballroom dancing any time soon, since they just kicked out wrestling, to make the Olympics smaller.
Most likely they will include mixed gender swimming relays, snooker or even squash before ballroom dancing.
