今日和朋友一齊食飯,D waitress 簡直係妙問妙答。
係日本餐廳,睇完 menu 之後叫野食。
"金菇牛肉卷呀唔該。"
"我地今日冇金菇牛肉卷,今日冇金菇,所以做唔到。不如試下雜菌呀?"
Ok,雜菌到左,一打開有金菇。 O.o ??
"叫第二個 waitress加野食,有冇金菇牛肉卷呀?"(朋友真係好想食)
"無做兩年啦!"
"我好似前排叫過。"
"我做左五年,冇 skip 過。"(好似我地問係我地白痴)
"但係 menu 有金菇牛肉卷喎。"
"咁咪即係個 menu 用左五年囉!"
=.= 成台人即刻冇野講。D 野食冇左兩年,個 menu 都唔 update,好似係我地錯咁。

If I were you, I will ask them directly:
1. You said  "我地今日冇金菇牛肉卷,今日冇金菇,所以做唔到" But how come there is 金菇 in my 雜菌 order?
2. Is that not enough 金菇 to make the 金菇牛肉卷 but just good for 雜菌? (I experienced I couldn't order a toro sashimi but a negitoro maki instead.)
3. "我好似前排叫過。": are yourself sure that you had ordered that not long ago (within the 2 years time)? If you can't even be sure yourself, it's very difficult to have a strong stand point /proof to argue.
4. Just challenge them: "Oh, since the menu hasn't been updated for 5 years, please tell me what other stuff is not being carried anymore? Or are you telling us that we should go to another better restaurant?"

And yes, I also like to know which restaurant is it please?

Menu hasn't been updated for 5 yr ?  

good resturant wor ..  price has kept for 5 yrs ..  how can they still in business .. lol

I've another funny conversation that I can share:

m: me; w: waitress

m: "唔該亂雞燴面丫"
w: "我地今日無亂雞燴面 wor"
m: "甘唔該牛肉面丫"
w: "我地今日無面 wor" (what kind of restaurant is that)
m: "甘唔該生炒牛肉飯丫"
w: "你想要大定細丫"
m: "甘大有幾大, 細有幾細丫" (since my co-worker forgot which size he ordered last time)
w: "甘睇下你想食多定小啦" (well, I expected he would tell me how many bowls of rice in a small and large)

At that point, I finally realize that 麥兜唔係老作, 係真係會發生 gei............ and my co-workers had already laughed with thei heads off

金菇 is expensive mah... other mushroom much cheaper. Using cheaper material charging same price is the way some restaurant make profit la..

我試過係間茶餐廳度叫廚師沙律,碟野黎到無左塊扒(以往我食次次都有),問個 waitress 佢答我廚師沙律係廚師鐘意比咩我食就比咩野。咁岩我朋友個碟禱師沙律黎左又有扒係上面,我問點解我朋友個碟有我無,係唔係個廚師唔鐘意比我而鐘意比個朋友,另一個 waitress 先唔好意思前唔好意思後同我補番塊扒。
