Which Broaday Rear Mirror is better ? (flat or convex) and what size is the best for a vehicle? Is it better with the HID or not?

I used those mirrors before. But now I don't use any of them anymore, cuz I think it's better to have a good habit to shoulder check as normal.

I agree with ULTRAMAN. I used those because give it to me. I get on not to shoulder check until I get horned by the other car. Now I drive according to what I learn.

i like the blue tinted ones....
but i havnt used them for a while... all my car's mirror are too weird in shape and have auto dim.

Since I drive a Mazda3 Hatch, the stock mirror is just a little enough to cover the rear window. I got the 240mm tinted convex (wide-angle), that covers the whole rear windows and a little of both "chicken-wing" windows. I also have 2 little sticky round mirrors on my side mirrors too, it takes the guess work out of shoulder checking. (I still do shoulder check, it's a good habit, but having a mirror is better than none) Remember, the proper way to change lane still applies: mirror -> lights -> shoulder check.

i am happy with the 300mm flat one, i dun like the convex one and 240 or 270mm are both kinda small; 360mm is way too long...

Another concern is, once you get used to your own "specially mirrored" vehicle, in case you need to drive your friends' cars without the same/similar device, it's very difficult to drive/park normally as usual.

I use a short (don't remember exact length) and flat one. I found it ok. Didn't like the convex/curve one at all. (dizzy)
I ALWAYS shoulder check and don't find driving other vehicles a problem.

When I drive my mom's car, I find it dizzy because the distance and view is changed on an stock mirror.

I don't see any 240 size.. so which one will u choose between 270 or 300 size?

布小熊, can you check the size of ur mirror.. i want to see which one the most people pick.. haha..

I'm using a curve one that is approx the same length as the original mirror in the car. This way it gives me more view and not having any problem flipping down the sun visor. I still do shoulder checks all the time. I found that a wider angle mirror gives me better observations to plan ahead for things like lane changes.

I think once you get used to the view the curve type is not a problem. It is just like the case of right side side-mirror which is also not showing the "true" distance.

i bought the flat one, 280mm, from HK auto shop and it is better than the standard ones that comes with the car. i can see the blind spots on both rears and it gives u a better sense of distance and speed estimation.

when i drive my dad's car, i have to triple check my shoulders because the rear mirror doesn't really gives me all the information i needed before i make any decisions.

i think the only add on mirror i hate is those with sticked onto ur side mirror, it's already a small mirror and with that extra add on, u will get confused (u will get used to when it's on ur own car with a certain angle then when u jump onto someone else's, or someone else's driving ur car will find a difficulty)....

if you worri about which size suits u best, u can gget it from catronix in parker la` they offer i fink 14 days with receipt exchange. but confirm with the sales before u purchase. but last time i got mine there they said i was able to exchange if i wanted to, cuz i didnt know if i should go for the tint or non tint one =]
