Does anyone know some of the different ways that I can type in Chinese characters?

I typically uses scratchpad (no longer, for I'm now on linux machines) back in Windows days.

My friends use twin bridge:

if you have a phone, you can d/L some sw and make it into a scratchpad form (on your screen). Wife is doing that on her android phone.
