This was captured by my car's video recorder today. So irritating!

I have heard someone who would do this:
write down the license plate #, call the RMD non-emergency RCMP line. Report something such as "Dangers driving..." that's not my idea.., but yet I have made this kind of calls for some real deal problems.. telling them type of car/color and the direction it's traveling.. etc..! Someone who almost hit a pedestrian.

u could've just gone around in the first place.... its not she is stuck in the middle of the road blocking everything.

she did put on the hazard light, how do you know if her car isnt broken down???

you ppl complain about the smallest deal.

What is so special about this? I see this many times, and I would just go around that stupid car. Sure she was rude, but who cares?

here's what my friend suggested:

"here's what you gotta do: get out of your car in her plain sight, open the trunk in her plain sight. get a baseball bat in full view. approach to her car with a baseball bat in hand, that'll solve the problem."

i am not suggesting this.

Hm...if she stopped her car on one side so other car still can pass her...I think it's ok wor...but of course..not the middle finger part...
some car just stop in the middle of the lane and block everyone else...

I support you too...just go ask, if she's just stopping there talking on the phone and not moving, go kick her ass then...
this is just a minor case in richmond la...last time when I was driving on Kwantlan road, about to pass the Landsdown Mall exit, there was a "C Lai" slowing coming out to the middle of the road and JUST looking at the right side (coz she wanted to turn left), and totally didn't care about me..i was like what the heck...!! I didn't horn her at that moment, but I just stopped right next her SO closely, then she was scared and stopped the car all in a sudden..
"Chi Sin" ga....

Why would someone put a video recorder on a car? What is that for?

Corolla? It is a good car. I like it. It accelerates much faster than the car I am driving now.

Mine is not attached to the mirror. I purchased the recorder after being in an accident with a lying driver. Even tho' I won the case after months of work, it's not worth the time and energy to have to do it again. The recorder can help in situations like this. A lot of commercial vehicles have it installed.

This case still acceptable to me! I hate the one who is driving 30km (or maybe less) in a 50km zone and because he/she is talking on the phone.

NOT OK when she stop at the ENTRANCE lor!!

it is dangerous when you try to go around and cars are turning in from the street.
Those C9 will never get into any accident but they cause a lot!

Yes, 布小熊, siumaibb, if you ever drive by Fairchild square (on Hazelbridgeway across from Parker place), you will know that the mall driveway and entrance are actually narrower in person than they look in the video. Also, depending on the traffic light intervals and hour of the day (a taikwando school right there, and lots of children's classes inside that mall), there can be 3-5 cars from each direction -Cambie/Alderbridge- waiting to turn into that entrance at the same time.

i think the fairchild mall incident was fine up until the lady gave the middle finger...

if im waiting for someone sometimes, i would pull my car to the side (given there's not parking space) (but NOT in front of the entrance/exit...) and talk on my phone...the thing is that if i see a car behind me wanting to drive by, i wave them so they can go. and if im blocking someone from getting out of their parking spot, i move my car...simple as that...no need for middle fingers or cold stares from drivers trying to get through...

The company I ordered from is chinavasion.com, and the unit is called Car Video Recorder with Laser Indication Light. Cost about $60 incl. shipping but you have to add your own SD memory card. On their website there are some recorders that record in higher resolution but this one is economical and does the job.

I think what you are doing is ok. Like someone else suggest, the problem is stopping by the exit/entrance..! You see, alot of these people who stop think the road is their, and they care no one else's business, but their own. This is totally selfish, and not ok.

佢大可以停埋D 既，同埋我都認為佢停得太近個停車場入口，唔係好make sense....但係mrsk都唔好咁奇怪，呢d 都未夠衰.........

琴日我見到有部pickup truck o係kingsway 繁忙時間有traffic 黎緊佢想轉左，但真係成架車轉o左出去迫人停俾佢，咁pk 既野真係幾少見

it doesnt matter, its seriously not a big deal
just go around it. if mrsk didnt just stay behind and honk, there was lots of time to go pass the corolla before there was even on coming traffic

Not really. I understand that it might be difficult to see from the small video screen, but there are speed bumps on the mall's driveway. We could not drive fast there because of the speed bumps and because kids might come out between cars anytime. As seen in the video, we had actually moved over to the left (on our way to avoid the Corolla), but had to move back to the right hand side as soon as we saw cars coming in. The ones that are seen are turning left into the mall. The other cars that make right turns into the mall usually make sharps turns and cannot be seen in advance. Anyway, the last speed bump was right behind the stopped Corolla. it would be stupid to run a speed bump and weave in front of oncoming cars. If an accident happen because of that (even if it is the car that turns in hitting my car), ICBC will hold me at fault coz' I'm on the wrong side of traffic. ICBC will hold me at fault even knowing that I was driving around a stopped car, because on that portion of the road, the cars that come in have the right of way.

next time u may want to ask if she really did hv problem with her car first before judging her...the hazardous lights are on...so u never know...personally i dun really see it as big of a deal since there are more retarded stuff happening on the road

There are bad/crazy drivers everywhere (myself included sometimes..  hahah).

I have to pull aside often (short wait like 10mins max) in a shopping mall to pick up my wife.  It is busy there and I don't usually find a spot.  I always make sure I have my turn signal and park really close to one side to give people enough room to pass me.  There were many times people drove up all the way behind me and started horning me even I give them the waving hand.  I took it easy now, just drive away and make a loop to come back.  No biggie.

If your case, I think if the lady wasn't actually with car problem, she was wrong in parking in the middle + too close to the entrance + her finger.

Want to hear my story last week at Crystal Mall?  I was leaving my parking spot and behind me was two big empty side-by-side handicap spots.  A van came and tried to park at the first handicap spot, head first.  Since it was right behind me, so I wait.  A teenage took off and this van backed up and tried to park the 2nd handicap spot using tail first.  Okie, whatever she was thinking why she didn't like the first spot, I didn't care.  But it took her > 5mins to finish off her back up parking basically going back and for countless times.  Come on, that 2 spots together could almost fit in a limo sideway.  I have my back up light on, so she should see me waiting.  I lost my patient, especially I saw this van didn't have the handicap sign at all.

When I finally pull out, while she was still backing up her 1/3 length, I yelled out loud to her that it is a handicap spot.  This Chinese lady yell back rudely in her chin-ish asking "how do I know" (know what? I guess she is asking me how do I know she wasn't).  I then shot out that "you don't have the handicap tag on your mirror".  Her replied me a "none of my business" while I drove off.  If I have free time, I will stop and keep arguing with her.  My last reply to her was "you better be a real handicap".  Now judging from her parking skill, maybe she really is a handicap..

People around were all watching since I was shouting out so loud from my car.

B2L2 既遭遇絕對感同身受。麗晶同parker 都係重災區，特別係麗晶，如果weekend 諗住去果度真係要打醒十五分精神，如果唔係搵唔到位不特止架車仲有損傷。

無論如何大家都小心啦，特別係雨季黎緊，搵windex擦乾淨玻璃入面(今日先幫個客整完，d 紙變晒灰黑色！)同埋換過對水撥，等你自己可以睇清睇楚出面發生咩事！
