Sleeping usually causing zig-zagging. Looks like the driver was occupied and found out too late. Notice that he stopped in straight line. So he was quite consicious of what he was doing.
I was reared end by someone the same situation, he told me he was messing with his stereo. When he found out, it was just too late.
