I really appreciate those who helped me out when my car got stuck in the snow. These random people from no where were kind enough to help me and others.
If you helped out others, give yourself a big thumbs up.
If you received help, be grateful.作者: shutterbug 時間: 2009-1-5 00:49
I'd say if you got help from others, it's time for you to help others out too!

My shovel is always in the car now...
Actually people can help by NOT WALKING ON THE ROAD, I understand the road is cleaner, but it gives drivers such a hard time. I got stuck twice caz I had to give way to those who walk.
I saw one car got stuck this morning and one big white dude helped to lift and push the car back to the road...
I should buy a shovel and put in my car...作者: Catpiano 時間: 2009-1-5 10:00
Yes yes yes .. very good ga ...
I remember the old days .. when I was studying in Edmonton .. we HAD to go out with a bunch of people ... since once we arrived to whereever .. we knew our car will be stucked .. and need MAN POWER to push ..
Kind of "FUNNY MEMORY" .. I help you, you help me .. etc .. and once people hear tire spinning sound .. they will jump out and help!!!
Having a shovel tool in your car is not a bad idea ..
Plus .. RUBBER MATS!!!! you guys will be impressed how great RUBBER mats is .. in order to help you get out of stucking in snow!!!

last night, when i was on my way to help out my mom's friends who were stuck in the snow not too far from my house, i ran into a troubled car. an old Beijing lady was trying to put his son car out of the snow.
i stopped and helped with my shovels and car mats. after his son drove away. the old beijing lady then invited me to go inside her home for a hot cup of tea. i told her i still have to go help my friends. she insisted that she to come with me to help out. i spent 15 mins trying to tell her to stay at home. ended up, she said i can come have a cup of tea at her place anytime.
when i was helping my friends out, others came along to help too.
all these incidents make me think that the world isnt too bad. there are still many kinds people who are willing to help and be grateful to received help from the others.
I want to thank a lady and a guy who helped me to get out the snow.

The first time I got stuck was in an unfamiliar neighbourhood in Richmond. Four dudes came outta no where and helped me out. I assumed one of them was a bus driver, he had one of those Coast Mountain Company jackets on Anyways I was very thankful but had no time to stop and say thank you, I just waved my hand out the window and yelled "Thanks guys!" ...don't even know if they heard me.作者: 字典仔 時間: 2009-1-6 20:24

so lucky i never really get stuck this year, snow tires and subaru's AWD FTW! saw RX350 / X5 and other SUV getting stuck but i was making it to everywhere okay, thanks god!
only day i had problem was NYE outside my gf's house with all season tires, i had to go all the way down to the bottom of the hill to let everyone out (after the party) and i couldn't get back in lol...
btw, i have seen ppl revving too high trying to get themselve out, dun do that! chance is u will blow up the transmission very soon...i think i know 3 to 4 ppl thru out the pass 3 weeks...one time i heard a man in middle 40s he is probably revving up to at least 5000rpm trying to get over the snow...not a good idea at all!作者: news 時間: 2009-1-7 06:42
