MAJORITY

i consider myself a minority in canada.no matter how many chinese malls have been built. or how many morechinese has immigrated. the law is the law. and it is written inenglish. which is not my language.

should i say i am not satisfied bybeing a minority in a foreign country. as i am typing this. i am eventhinking in an english way.

there are people promoting the idea ofmulticulturalism. the way i see it. it is a big umbrella by the queenof great britain. i do not recall what exactly i have said in thenaturalisation ceremony in order to become a canadian citizen. ilooked that up in wiki. and found out i have said (or read out loud)sth like:

I swear (or affirm) that I will befaithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfullyobserve the laws of Canada and fulfill my duties as a Canadiancitizen

what can i say. the british was strong.they have conquered places. very much the same way the chinese takingup spaces within richmond bc (in a lawful and legal way). with theirwisdom and money. lifestyle and culture. being a chinese myself ihave heard complaints from non-chinese canadians about how they (thechinese, or we) have changed this (or their) country. (as i thoughtin very much the same way the british named some streets as nathanroad and jordon road). the reason they told me this withouthesitation: i do not look or act like a chinese person at all.chinese ppl think i am white. white ppl think i am japanese. and yes.japanese thinks i am japanese too. of course that all happen before idisclose myself as a hong kong immigrant.

CRAVING FOR THE WORD

the word (or idea of) multiculturalismhas a positive intent of peace. very much like the word (or idea of)toppy has a negative intent of chaos. within this specific contextand audience. (just to mention his name to catch your attention thruthis academic drill) whether you will need the word (very much likethe need of a smoke, an icecream or sex) to bring your mind to acertain state (whether its extreme excitement. extreme release. orextreme peace. nothingness. or full of it) may or may not be yourchoice. its sorta like its not my choice when it snows or the sunshines. as a metaphor. once the icecream is gone. its probably timeto work. watch tv. or do sth else. you may or may not remember /think about the icecream, until the next craving comes. perhaps thisis one reason why i put value on toppy (or the idea of it) s/he isbeing used and s/he is always here for you.

CULTURAL SEGREGATION vs TOPPY

If the idea of multiculturalism and itspurpose is to bring chaos to peace. Perhaps Toppy (or the idea of it)is the opposite. just to shake things up a bit <<<---myselfmigrating away from academic to casual conversational tone.
the point is: if s/he is doing this onpurpose, and s/he knows exactly what s/he is doing. the reason s/heis doing this is probably (for) you. or the need of the majority (akashun zhung yiu kau)(gar hoi sup cheung)
if peace is behind Toppy, then needlessto say, chaos is behind multiculturalism. just to look at the lengthof that word. (i remember myself spending a great deal of time inkindergarden to fit the word umbrella into my mind) a person who needthat particular word (or the idea of it) to settle their mind isprobably a minority like myself. (poor me) and whether that word ishere or gone within my psyche. is probably not my choice. unless icreate a memory loss of that particular section on purpose with mywill.

Hi, Mr. playingtoy.. you look really handsome

consider language itself as a means of communication (disregarding communication devices which extend language itself thru electronic signals) language by itself is one of the precious things that i own (amid others like friends family money)(or more abstract like time space. my future. my bright future or dim future)(or more solid like my past. history. memory)(unless i have a memory loss which may or may not be under my own control and which i may not even recall losing my own memory)(unless i spend my whole being to concentrate in remembering what i have. or seem to have forgot. or miss)(which will in return became what i want in my next thought)

oh. sorry. where was i. yes. language itself. and i ask: do i own this language? is this my language or is that the queen's language. Her Majesty QE II. ok if this is not my language. and my language is not being used by most people. in this country. in this world. should i just give that up and not call that my own. i mean its only my past. the way i was brought up. a wording system that made me understand express and function like everyone else. to be normal. but here now. i am different. they dont speak my language and they dont have the need to learn my language. unless they need to order tofu. or learn kungfu. or buy bok choi. so my existence only extends itself so far. into food martial arts and more food.

people need my word. if i do not speak. they feel uncomfortable. unless i claim myself having a sensory impairment. that i do not understand your word and i cannot speak your word. cux deep down i know i am chinese. or am i still chinese.

english. being an international language. the communicative means. is a result of all the conquering of britain. from within a small island to all over the world. a result and a cause. could be an achievement. and damage (*). which for us chinese at the time being was unneccessary. we had so much land. so many people but still lots of land. we had no need to go anywhere. but to farm. go home. and make babies. which can be a scene of utopia. or heaven. considered by some. but not by british. or other countries who once had an attempt to take a piece of the pie.

so is british the bad guy. is toppy the bad guy. is qin shi huang the bad guy. i am really not into judging other people. when it comes to the end. someone is gonna say that i am the bad guy. cux s/he is about time to take my place and be good.

(*) once again not neccessarily a bad thing. i am saying this in order to be politically correct.

boring~~~

i am more interested in you and toppy's private life.. it must be so wild~~

sorry to bore you ricrick.

regarding your concerning about my private life with mr/mrs/ms toppy
and your comment about that being wild. i reply with the following:

since you have already defined that with the word private. in oppose to public. you might as well assume it is not for you. unless. you take a certain action leading the expected result to move into our private life.

sorry. did i bore you again? i mean what do you want me to say. yes we are having a great time with some champagne? that will probably lead your thought into sexual activity. which is a coincidental response to your comment as being wild. unless you would like to further explain on your definition of wildness. i have no further comment at this point.

playingtoy, what do you think about same-sex marriage?
作者: playingtoy    時間: 2009-2-12 04:14

what do i think about same sex marriage. you are asking me to disclose myself base on that 3 words. the publication and legalization of what used to be a taboo. i guess i will ask some questions to start (or end) with:

are you single or married.
are you divorced or widowed.
do you have a sexual preference.

actually ive made a mistake. just by thinking the word: single. makes my mind associate with marriage. i dont know if this is boring you again. its just the nature of word itself in general. and nobody would want to limit themselves with words like that.

the idea of marriage implies 2 opposites coming together as 1. whether it is the result the process the intention. or nature. so. what do you think about same sex divorce.

thats all i can think of so far.

are you suffering?
作者: playingtoy    時間: 2009-2-12 10:55

i am not sure about your definition of suffering. this is a very personal thing. and i have my own personal threshold limit in referring to a particular event as a suffering. as far as i remember. i have done lots of suffering in my past. and the main thing is i wouldnt have known what suffering is if i never had suffered. (unless suffering erases itself in my database. sometimes that happens like sunshine and snow)

cannot imagine an empty soul (eg a newborn baby drinking milk*) asking the same question. or defining the self with that particular word: suffering

* a newborn baby drinking milk also cries. just that s/he is not doing the 2 things at the same instant. unless s/he is able to think about crying before s/he starts to cry. doing all that while s/he is drinking milk might take away the character of an empty soul. i am trying to put that in picture what an empty soul is.

haha. thanks. at some point in your life you might want to consider not to change yourself according to time. whether it is a calendar. a clock. or someone's birthday. including your own. some guy said that its valentine on the 14th of FEB. and that guy is dead. we make history. not follow history.

and if you need a reason to celebrate. make one up. like: oh my nose is bleeding. lets get married.
