小弟沒有也找不到飯腳﹐所以在 Vancouver east 和 Richmond內﹐除了茶餐廳和Fastfood之外﹐ 有沒有適合一個人的餐廳? 就是那些不會因為你是一個人就趕客的那一種。

我近來OT得太多﹐每天七點多才下班﹐所以我不想回家煮飯了。

i have the same problem too.
today, i went to 保羅.
sometimes, I will go to have sushi by myself
or get those Donair. etc.

Vietnamese food is a good choice too.
sometimes an individual size pizza from Boston pizza.

or health food:

go save on . buy a bag of Romaine Lettuce, usually there are three romaines inside. then, u can make caeser salad for 2 or 3 meals.

When I lived alone, I liked to go to Yohan food court and ordered those 3 dishes for 12 dollar one and I can eat them for 2-3 days including my lunch.

If you really want to eat at the restaurant, most likely the bubble tea + restaurants are you best bet.

Many restaurants welcome diners who eat alone la. It depends if you are comfortable eating alone.
I personally prefer settings like:
- sushi bar, a pub or bar that you can chat with the sushi chef or the bar tender.
- quick eats: vietnamese pho, ramen, bbt, tawinese noodle, wonton noodle, mexican places.
- Get take outs and eat at home: deli section of supermarket, (yet better from places like choices/Meinhardt's/urban fair...etc but I don't think there is any in richmond or east van that opens so late), costco (salad and cooked food section), sushi takeout from japanese supermarket, food court, cold dishes from T&T, BBQ meat and rice boxes..etc.

didn't kick me out when i ate alone...
i stayed there for hmmm.... 4 hours straight.

Also Vietnamese Pho la..
you can stay at any Pho restaurant and they don't kick you out ah
Stay there for as little as you want, as long as you want

The best place is to eat at home

Take out.. - pizza!!!!

Bubble tea place..
have a meal to go~

我去泰山吃了差不多一個星期了。Vietnamese noodle eats so much la. Indeed, it's those congee place which does't welcome me at night...haha

Sushi is a great idea....except i prefer hot food. but it's cool idea. Too bad, salad is not good enough for me, but if i have too much food outside, i would have a night with salad for sure.

Hey fishbelly, yeah....I did tha right now indeed.. Parker's dinner box is so big! good enough for 2 meals....but at the 2nd day., the grease makes me lose the appetite.

Haha, seems like i m not the only person who does that!

hey myversa, foodcourt is a good choice, except if i have to pay that price ($6 to 7 per dinner), i would prefer a real dinner at a restaurant. I am a bit picky here because i work like a dog. I just want to have a comfortable dinner that I could enjoy.

Hey little prince, for that 私房菜, is it a high class place?  The price of curry rice looks fine for me.  But people there, do they order more than just 1 plate?

You know what?  I was actually being rushed by 茶餐廳 and Congee place at dinner time.  I went to congee place at Main at broadway around 8pm.  they let me sit in a table of 4.  I ordered 2 soup noodles even though i just need one.  Then the waitress kept asking me am I done or what.  I said I don't mind to share table....but she said the other don't want to share with me......come on, then it means they are willing to wait!  Stop pushing!  Not that i don't pay or what!

You sound like a very nice person, I might join you for supper, however I work irregular hours so my supper time could be anywhere from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm

唔算高級﹐只是地方幾好座﹐價錢比一般晚飯略貴。。。人地係咪 ORDER MORE THAN JUST 1 PLATE 我唔知﹐但我地去親都係食她們 SET 好的套餐﹐有湯﹐前菜及幾個小菜﹐還有飯。。。是 FUSHION 菜。

我覺得幾適合情侶傾計﹐情調幾好﹐特別係初相識的情侶。。。甘你話唔想比人趕嘛﹐呢間你就可以舒舒服服地吃囉。。。

另一家叫彩蝶軒的私房菜都幾 OK 架﹐價錢同呢間差不多﹐食物都唔錯﹐也是拍拖或是想傾計的好地方。。。

電話地址我唔記得﹐但你攤開主要的中文報章﹐很容易找到她們的廣告呢。。。

茶餐廳 & Congee - the one on renfrew & 1st or rupert & 22nd
bubble tea & food - rupert & 22nd
上海 - main & 20? just before king edward
sushi - hastings & nanaimo (on nanaimo)
tawianese noodles - on kingsway, close to broundary

just remember those restaurants which have small tables(for two). those restaurants will not rush you since their small tables were set already. or the one that never full

多謝tofu! Right, i have never tried that Tawianese noodles on kingsway...near the buddist temple! Yes, i have a target tomorrow....no more Vietnamese MSG noodle.

But...what does that sushi place call near nanaimo...i recall the rest of your opinion, epseically the 茶餐廳 because i live near there.

for mexican, my current fav is Dona Cata (5076 Victoria Drive). Their soft tacos are very good. 6 to 8 diff choices for like $2 each. They have ~10 kinds of salsa for you to add as well. BUT I think they close at 9 p.m. So.. you can still go there at 7:30 for a quick bite. (but don't expect taco bell type of food...it's more authentic)
I don't have a current fav for taiwanese noodle now. all my old fav are gone.

today i went out with one of the "rice leg" at "shanghai one cup" at richmond. Yes, i can order more than just a soup noodle.

I just went past it tonight, it is called Sushiwa. How does this place compare to Tentatsu? I would love to go try if it is of similar quality.

cheaper, fresher & taste better, but the problem is sometimes you need to wait so long.
they serve one table after the others, they don't give a little bit for each table. last time we need to wait an hour before we got our food. after that i will ask before i sit down.
tentatsu is not bad, but just another japanese restaurant which run by chinese
if you don't mind to drive a little bit far away, the one on main & 16th or hastings & fell are good, but usually long wait.
just wonder have you try the one on hastings & lakewood, people said it is good, but it doesn't look like a restaurant at all, so scare to go in.

E tea is ok woo. I went there to play poker for the whole saturday night, but the restaurant was never full. So they don't kick people out.

The food and drinks are just soso but good thing is that is the only bubble tea around my place

btw, there is a self-serve thai restaurant at 1st & commercial, pretty good
