VanDusen Plant Sale 10 a.m, to 4 p.m. THE sale of the year. More than 40,000 plants for sale. Catalogues available in advance at the Garden Cashier for $2 starting April 1st. Bring your wheelbarrow and a friend. Master gardeners will be on site to give advice. Other features include Plant Check and Plant Pick Up areas. Visa, Mastercard, personal cheques and cash accepted. Try to get there early if you want to buy some nice plants! I got a indoor plant that needs very little light. It is doing very happy now at my north facing home. (Little light) I need to get a new pot and split it to 2.
The master gardeners are very helpful and knowledgeable. I was eyeing a diff plant but that needed a lot of light. So he picked this other one for me.作者: myversa 時間: 2009-3-27 09:58

I will take a picture of it this weekend and post it. It's a cactus type of plant so I only need to water it once a week.
I wanted to plant roses too but all the masters at the rose booths told me none of the roses will work at a north facing balcony. well better than buy and kill a rose.作者: 布小熊 時間: 2009-3-29 11:55

You will be OK la. This one is so easy to care for. Just don't over water it.
btw I want to get a new pot of orchid in deeper colour. I have 3 light colour ones at home.

sorry to confuse you.
I did NOT get the orchid from the plant sale last year. But they DO have a booth selling orchid but I went too late. Most of the good ones are gone.
I think may have bought this yellow one from home depote two years ago.
But I am looking for something similar in a darker colour. (deep purple or pink)
well better than buy and kill a rose.
