揀o左酒樓﹐將會俾訂金。
俾訂金時﹐ 我係咪要講下價呢? 還是揀左要邊個套餐﹐ 先再講價呢??

價一定要講,當年我地俾一半cash一半credit card,甘可以俾少好多稅.
另外可以試下要酒樓包埋開瓶費,送汽水等等.
更係係落訂前講啦

講價~~~講價~~~ ask for inclusive pop/juice, no bottle fee (bring your own alcohol)(some places charge gar), etc... etc...

Also try to negotiate less tax and more credit card la...

Oh... and also ask them when's their last call (closing time). Just in case, your friends/family want to continue drinking, etc... Cuz some place might charge you extra if your event last longer than the schedule time...

yeah...make sure u ask them about the tax, coz it is quite alot of money...and tips as well, most places charge 12%-15%, but of coz the lower the better......and also u can try to bargain on the menu too....that's what i did......i got a lower price of the menu but with better food.......

if u don't mind telling us, which restaurant did u choose?

so in general, ask about if I can have free pops for guests, tips, closing time, tax, right?
they already said that they will not charge "opening wine bottle" fees

yea.. i think free pops should be easy to get..just $10 per table..most restaurant will give it to you... and ask abt the decoration time too.. (ex. when u can come to rrestaurant and decorate..usually after 4pm) most restaurant are reasonable for the closing time. before 11pm should be fine too..
For the tax... i dun think u really need to ask unless they say it out to you.. coz it's up to you to pay how many % tips.. for my restaurant.. the manager told us we have to pay at least 13% already..and he wrote it on the deposit receipt...but if they didnt say anything..of coz u can pay 10% la.. *coz at the beginning of the dinner..you have to give red pockets to those servers and managers anyways*

and if u can, try to get them to write down the stuff on paper, like free pop, amount of tip and tax, etc.....so no need to argue later.....

Yeah! And as for the menu, you dunt have to follow exactly what they offer you.
Ask them to do some changes (for better food), and tell them that you like this or that

etc...

And you can ask them what decoration they have for you to use for the night, cuz they usually have some basic ones that you don't have to buy...

Also, the audio/video equipments too!!! (Screens , etc...)

一定要講,你可以講到包稅,包氣水,同包小費,而且套餐都可以要求改好d,即係可以換其他食物

If your wedding is next year, and you like this year menu, ask them to do it same price next year. Kirin is willing to do so.

i'm not too worry about bargaining with kirin as my fiance's brother in law works in kirin and can work things out... i guess will see how the restaurant we go this saturday, if we don't like it we will switch to kirin....

any examples to subsitute better food on the menu while keeping the same price? The manager may just ask you to get the more expensive menu
