Location: English Bay, Vancouver

Start time: 10:00 p.m. rain or shine

Best viewing points: English Bay, Kitsilano, Vanier Park, Jericho Beach.

Is it just me that think so, or did the weather forecast sucked crap for yesterday? For the whole week, they only kept on reiterating that it's gonna be HOTTTT beach weather for Saturday, and it didn't turn into saying 'Thunder Storm in the Fraser Valley' until afternoon Saturday. In the end it wasn't just 'Fraser Valley' (usually referred to east of the lower mainland), it was also thunder shower for the ENTIRE Lower Mainland and Downtown...

So many people are caught off guard completely in bikini's. Poor dudes in cotton T-shirts were all drenched...

yes the weather was in sudden changes yesterday
the forcast on website didn't state there will be thunder+lightning

the entire lowermainland had the rain yersterday
a moment, heavy rain was dropped.................

i was driving back from seattle and the sky looked so red at the bottom it looks like the city is on fire and huge lightning flash across the sky, and not just one at a time but sometimes several right in front of me.....looked like the end of the world or something....

Last night UK was quite disappointed. I think it's a bit waste of time. Most of the fireworks were not high enough and covered by the smoke. Yet they kept on firing the low ones all the time. WTF! I left early, didn't bother to wait till the end.
