I occasionally upload some food picture to my blog but the picture never looks as good. And I was told that I should have taken the picture with natural lighting but my kitchen never gets enough of that. After some searching, seems like this product will do the trick: http://www.lowel.com/ego/
Thanks Rickrick! Those pic are nice!!! 作者: ricrick 時間: 2009-7-15 22:27
basically, what you need to do is to have your main light comes from the side. your subject will look more 3D. then, you can use something to fill/lighten the shadow on the opposite side. you can use another light source, a reflector or simply a white cardboard will do fine作者: shutterbug 時間: 2009-7-16 11:29
You don't need that lowel box. To start, get your self a few desk lamps (make sure they have the same colour temperature bulbs), and a few tracing paper on the lights as shoot-thrus to soften the light. After shooting, adjust white balance in Photoshop.作者: chobit 時間: 2009-7-16 18:21

It can be easily done with boune flash (Better if with LightSphere II) + 50mm f/2.5 or other similar options...!作者: chobit 時間: 2009-7-16 18:56

Yeah .. as SB said, few desk light ( you already hv ) will do the work .. ( with a piece of big white paper .. as white background is easlier to control )
One issue is, you may get WRONG white balance, however, it is a easy fix in digital world. \
You can consider to get a FLOOD LIGHT in the future too.. ^_^作者: zuesel 時間: 2009-7-17 15:46
