【明報專訊】一項對卑詩省司機開車習慣的調查指出，73%受訪司機承認邊開車邊吃喝、66%邊講手機、30%邊挖鼻孔邊開車。

其他被列入容易引致開車分心的壞習慣還包括：邊開車邊唱歌(69%)、邊開車邊抽煙(24%)、與乘客吵架(20%)、發短訊(20%)、讀短訊(16%)，哄小孩(14%)。

卑詩汽車保險公司(ICBC)委託Ipsos Reid調查本省司機開車習慣，包括司機是否節約用油，開車時是否分心做其他事。

調查顯示，卑詩省司機每周平均開車達11小時，雖然省民都知道節約能源的重要性，但96%的司機承認浪費汽油，多數司機都有暫時停車但不熄火的習慣。

ICBC市場策略副總裁舒爾茨(Jeff Schulz)指出，如果能夠改掉不良開車習慣，不僅可以節省汽油方面的支出，還能減少廢氣排放，更重要是減少交通意外發生及保費，一舉數得。

調查顯示，93%的受訪司機承認開車時至少有一項或以上的壞習慣，包括邊開車邊吃喝、開車時唱歌、講手機、挖鼻孔、抽煙、與乘客吵架、發短訊或讀短訊、哄小孩等，有以上所有壞習慣的人佔17%。

其他壞習慣還包括，在路上與其他司機打情罵俏(flirt with other drivers)、化妝或是不時看倒後鏡，欣賞自己的面容。

調查顯示，66歲及以上的司機開車時的壞習慣較少，18歲至25歲的年輕司機最易「一心多用」，開車不專心。

ya, I don't know why singing is a bad habit either

. it depends on people i guess, but it is a good habit for myself

How to define 30%邊邊開車 ???

I am sure 100% driver (or 99%).. they have tired 邊挖鼻when 開車..

Or it means, 30% "TIME" 挖鼻孔?? ( mean when u drive for 10 hour .. 3 hour time, you are picking nose .. LOL )

Eating .. talking on phone .. also normal ..

I think the most scary part is MAKE UP .. I have asked my mom not to do make up when driving for many years ga la.... so scary ..

possible...cuz they might be driving for 3 mins each trip...i.e. vancouver c9...haha

sending sms is fairly safe if you can touch type...not many people can do that though...not me either

There are tons of bad habits not included in the survey:

1. watching porn while driving.
2. putting one leg outside windows.
3. changing clothes while driving.
