加樂海鮮酒家 - *小強*菠蘿叉燒包 several, place

I went to Richmond 加樂海鮮酒家 for dim sum this morning. http://www.dinehere.ca/restaurant.asp?r=3032

The place was not that busy and we ordered several dishes. One of them was 菠蘿叉燒包. My dad ate one of the 3 buns. I ate one of them. Then I was eating the second one. For some reason before I ate, something in my mind told me to check what was inside. So I bit part of it and then looked inside. There was a small little item in the bun with 2 鬍. I used chopstick to take it out and took a look. Got my mom/dad to take a look too. It was a 小強 (aka 曱甴)!!!!

That's disgusting!!! Inside a 菠蘿叉燒包 they had a 小強. So we called the manager over and told him about it. His attitude was ok, he didn't really deny anything or try to 死撐. He didn't say much and just canceled the item, not even an apology. We just continued with our meal as usual but I'm never going back there again....I don't know if this happens regularly.

If you go there often, just beware if you order something like 菠蘿叉燒包!

well...first I didn't eat it(unless I ate some that I didn't see).
And I did take picture but I thought they deserve a chance so I just told the manager. If he 死撐 then I would have probably called the health inspectors or something.

Maybe I should specify the size of 小強 so you guys have a better picture of what happened.
It was about 75mm long and 40mm wide. It was not THAT big and I don't know why I suddenly felt like peeking inside the bun to check. But 1 thing for sure is that I ain't going back.

Actually I read similar cases before and it did cross my mind for a minute before complaining to the manager. But the thing was I didn't eat it yet(unless there was more than 1 in the buns) and I don't know why I suddenly felt like looking in the bun so I was not really shocked. It really just confirmed what I was suspecting I guess.

I guess everyone deserves a chance so I just decided to complain. I just posted it here so that you guys are aware of such an issue.

Some scientist say that every year we eat pounds of bugs without knowing. It's just disgusting when we see/know about it. I did lose a bit of appetite today over this but oh well...

NOT 75mm and 40mm
It is 7.5mm and 4.0mm, so it was quite small

I haven't done this cm to mm conversion since grade 4 so it was a mathematical error.
I don't think its useful to report to health authorities at this point. their plate is for sure in the trash and the pic i have is rather blurry.
