台灣    前總統陳水扁    弊案宣判，他被判最重刑罰無期徒刑，並被判罰款2億元新台幣，其妻吳淑珍亦判無期徒刑。

聯合報指，吳淑珍被判罰款3億元新台幣，並褫奪公民權終身。

陳水扁是台灣首位元首涉及貪瀆弊案，也是首位被起訴、收押的卸任總統。他今次被判無期徒刑，再創台灣卸任領導人遭判刑的首例。

陳水扁涉及4宗案件分別為國務費、洗錢、龍潭購地、南港展覽館案，以及特偵組追加起訴扁珍索賄、賣官等案，今天下午4時宣判。

I would vote based on the candidates not by their parties.

of course I have not voted in Taiwan for nearly twenty years now.
