Which one do you like?

Personally since it's only starting, I do not like neither one...

my wife likes to watch it so I watch it with her.....

She only likes TVB series... not japanese series, Taiwanese series nor English series...

Your wife is from MALAY wor ??  Then how can she like TVB ??  

My wife doesn't like TVB at all ( she tried .. but ..  )

Her TV preference :  Japanese > Korean > Taiwan > Local ...

Malaysia has a dedicated channel for new tvb series and it is cheap to buy dvd there so she watched a lot of TVB series lo.

She does not like to watch Taiwanese drama at all.

Personally I like Japanese drama better too because it's shorter and more varieties.  Probably my wife knows more hk tvb stars than taiwanese stars.  She likes to watch something where some stars she knows star in.  She does not like those movie without any "stars".

You kid, you can say similar things about Japanese/Korean/Taiwan series. The story lines are always the same. Even those big Hollywood movies are made using the same formula over and over again. So y ...

You might be right but this thread is about hong kong tvb series so lik is somehow right too regarding the plots.

The only thing we can expect is how the script was written based on the same plots.

Just like horror movies, even though the basic general plots would be group of people were killed one by one by one bad guy or monster and finally the survivor killed the bad guy.  It's the middle how they tried to escape that we were interested in.  Different script writer and director can make the whole movie looks different.  Same goes to TV Series.

well real life rich people lo.  Of course they dramatize it so it would be more interesting to watch.

hmm.. now I think of it, maybe they can make a tv series about my own life too.  (it is just that I am not rich and famous...)

I watched the new series "巴不得爸爸" and it seems pretty funny for the first episode...
