People can make some degree of assumption based on their past experience.  Sometimes you do not need reason at all.

It does not necessary need to be right.  They could make wrong assumption but it is still just an assumption.

Just like me, I sometimes made made false statement here just based on my past experience opening a restaurant.

I go so often that I know one of the boss by now. He is not on lyk...but something so obvious like stinky towel. They prob noticed it themselves.
