You can certainly make fun of mainland China and say they “死要面子”. But I don’t think you understand their 埋藏在心底的百年心結 – 中國被外族侵略，被人侵略和欺負超過一百年; 中國人被稱為東亞病夫; 海外華人遭人歧視被稱為“中國豬”。China doesn’t even have a say on the international stage 30 years ago.

The mainland Chinese have to suffer and wait for over hundred years and now they finally can proudly claim – “我們中國人終於可以站起來了.”

When you make fun of them, do you realize what is hiding behind the scene?

My family has been living overseas long enough and we know what discrimination means to us. However, we do not 自卑. Instead, my family wants to be 自強. We clearly understand that – 如果我們自己都看不起自己，我們怎能期望其他人尊敬我們!

It is you seem to not being proud of your Chinese root (if you are a Chinese).


P.S. - 歌曲抄襲事件just is an unfortunate accident. Can we really blame the government? Do you think they want to spend the money in vain?

So you are saying you don’t want to be a Chinese, but it is an unfortunate thing that it is not your choice? I feel pity for you.

When you have a child, do you expect him turn an adult overnight? There is much for him to explore and to learn as he grows. Will you 嫌棄him because he is not as handsome or smart as other children?  

No matter how immature and imperfect China is, we will NOT be ashamed of our Chinese root. We believe China will grow and improve as a child. We do our small part to make a contribution even though it might look insignificant instead of 怨天尤人.

I will teach my children (if I have one) to be proud of being a Chinese and make a contribution in their ability. Even though it is possible that I might not be able to see China because a truly democratic country in my life, I hope my children will.

We do our small part to help China grow and improve even though it is insignificant if we want to be able to witness China become a truly democratic country one day.

I can only feel pity for you that you only 怨天尤人 and feel sorry for being a Chinese.


P.S. - if you want to find out more about 人性醜惡 in western world, please look up the history book (including 近代歷史 and 時事). I really feel pity for you.

Why don’t you spend some time to study the “dark ages” in western history and understand how many people had died and what kind of price they paid for the building of the democracy they achieve today?

Do you really believe people in western countries suffered less than the Chinese?


I feel pity for you.
