I have seen many trucks that supposes to handle 8 tons were modified to carry 40 tons. They were just crawling on highway and I hated to be after them when I drove in China.

Yes, it is insane.  Not only the problem with overloading but over-high as well.

I saw a truck hit a crossing bridge right in front of me because of its high. I could be a victim if I was 30 feet ahead of where I was because the truck flipped over.
