Well, depends how old the car is .. if it is a car from 90's ... and -10c then warm it up for 1 min or 2 ..  

But Van, so warm ..  no need la..

Again ..  when it is cold ..  start up the car, do some snow shovel .. that is ~ 2min anyway ...

I drive my car slow (low rpm) in the first few min when it is cold .. ( -20c )
