nice bike!
I am looking into getting a beginner commuter bike. hybrid most likely...
I went to Bike Dr. last weekend but I am not sure if I am ready to buy yet...
Any suggestion for hybrid? (brand and model) I want something light but not crazy expensive... I think I will also look on craigslist as well. But I really don't want to get a stolen bike.
I don't think I am brave enough ever to ride road bikes...

I am not as good as those Chinese bike riders.. I am just a beginner. So I need something easier for slopes in Vancouver.

Seen lots of those around Stanley Park and English Bay. I am sure there is a bike rental for this kind of bike there.

Get a hybrid! like a Trek Mendota, make sure to ask the bike shop to do a fitting for you though,  ...

Trek Mendoat looks great!! but I can't afford > $1000 bike.
I will go to a few bike shops in the next few weeks. Hopefully, they still have something for my size in stock (and on sale!!)
I got a helmet and will try out my friend's mountain bike (on flat road) this weekend.
