Meeting ppl online is the same as meeting ppl in person. I think knowing someone thro online media is ok. But to really date, you need to come out and meet the person and do real dating. And for the first few times, meeting as groups may be better/safer.

I know many ppl who met online. Some even 10+ years ago. So I am surprised you ask this now.

I think only Mandarin mother tongue will type this.  

Again. I think it's the same as meeting anyone any where.
I don't mean "dating online". I mean meeting and knowing first via an online medium.
That's very common even years ago. I know many normal pairs that met online. (e.g. lyk)
