haha! Nice review. Very detail. So you like fruit forward wine? They are usually great to drink alone. If you want to experiment a bit, get some fresh/dry fruits/cheese/nuts and crackers. Try simple wine pairing and it's fun!

I personally like more complex/full body reds. But still can't get over with Shiraz ... esp those from Australia...  I found a few Syrah that I like from the okanagan area tho. (e.g. Cedar Creek Estate Select Syrah) I am still a beginner in wine and would love to learn more about them.

Current pick: Petales D'osoyoos Meritage 2004.
Last nite: Chat-eu-Oeuf drinkable and I love the label... haha

小弟一向對美國酒不大感興趣

I am not a big fan of wine from the states either. (well except OLD VINE Zins and some sparklings) recently had a pretty good bottle of Burt from Sonoma valley (forgot the name .. )
In restaurants and for parties, I usually pick BC wine. Ceder Creek, St Hubertus and Oak Bay, Quails gate... (dont' like Mission Hill except their Oculus but it's so expansive...)
I love Italian wine. (reds, pinot grigio, prosecco...etc) And Spanish, French and Portuguese are areas that I don't mind exploring. I gave up on Australian wine (still haven't find one that I like). But new Zealand's sauvignon blanc are refreshing for summer.

Anyway, this is the fun about wine. The preference is very individual. Nice to meet with you guys here! May be we can have more reviews here! (less risky when picking up our next bottle at the wine/liqour store)
