If that's your best friend (only best friends can be maid of honour, I assume), I am sure you can tell her honestly that you don't have the budget!

not sure about weddings in HK but I had wedding favours  from 10+ years ago.

I don't mind just doing the registration. I actually didn't want the banquet in HK but well, it's not a formal one anyway.
BUT I don't want it to be in las vegas. It reminds me of too many negative things. (may be cos I've never been there!)
