Didn't know there is a cafe crepe there. But didn't like crepe there anyway.

btw. talking about crepe. fibbi, I confirmed that Bistrot Bistro has flambe crepe. I saw the table next to ours ordered it.

I love Nagahama ramen at menya too! I walk by it a lot and try really hard to resist going in... LOL
Other than Menya, there are:
Falafel Plus on W 8th (behind Wendy's)
- Middle Eastern, Kosher
Unforgettable Pizza (next to Falafel king)
- pizza by slice or whole (ok la just a bit better than the chains)
Peaceful Restaurant on w Broadway
- northern style noodle
Elysian Coffee  on w Broadway
- coffee and freshly baked goods (close at 7pm)
Fat burger
- ok la. better than the other chains
Solly's Bagelry
- W 7th (quick toasted bagel)
Whole Foods
- soup that is not as salty as other places
Zako's Deli
- Poutine (ok for that area. I prefer la Belle's)

Going further east,
Chronic Tacos
- Taco chain from CA, a bit more authentic than other tex-max tacos chains
(i prefer other authentic Mexican restaurants' tacos but they are not in this area)
Three Lions Cafe
- British Pub. Had pretty good English breakfast there

Up on Cambie
Shiro
- ok sushi. fresh wasabi. pretty good tempura
