I will try to avoid any activities near/with that person.
I am sure my friends and ppl who know me won't believe that person. If they do, well, it's up to them.

但係你EQ再高啲嘅話，其實係可以反客為主，同嗰個＂是非精＂打好關係，可能對方都唔係壞，只係誤會一場。就算對方真係一個不折不扣嘅是非精，你倒不如令佢當你做朋友，起碼少個敵人

criminal is just an example. may be it's not a good one.
I have some baseline on being a person and if I can't agree with some baseline of certain people, I don't want to and won't force myself to be their friends.
Not saying that I will hate them and do something bad to them. But I will avoid seeing them. And it's not the same as 交惡 either.

a simple example, I love animals (in general, don't pull the topic of meat eating into this please), I can't be-friend someone who think beating up their pets and other animals for "fun".  May be that's not a crime. May be he/she is very intelligent and may "help me" on my career. But I choose NOT to.I am sure Miss 大C姐 will find problem with this example too.
