IMO Pho Lan used to be very good. But since the switch of ownership last year, it went down hill. My fav one is now Green Lemongrass.
I haven't try An Nam yet. So I will give it a try and see.

Well, I tried An Nam lunch today. I guess it's personal preference and I had high expectation before I went. I really don't like their pho. The soup base is very "flat", there is no herbs or spices in the broth. Just fav of meat and a bit on the salty side. The meat and the brisket is very lean. First time I have brisket this lean in pho. I prefer fattier and more tender brisket.

Regarding to MSG, I can't say they are light on it either. Cos I did have reaction after lunch even after drinking ice coffee with condense milk. (I am allergic to MSG)

Anyway, guess we have diff taste on Pho.

I am not surprise tho. Pho Thai Hoa's origianl location on Kingsway is a lot of ppl's fav. I have only been to Pho Thai Hoa once. The soup base was a bit on the salty side but I didn't order the pho. (I think I ordered some sorta spiecy noodle)
Just read a review and I think I want to try the 3-colour ice drink and give their pho and 2nd try.

This one is acutally unique. They said that their pho is MSG free. I only tried it once when I was very sick. I cannot really comment with my "dead" taste bud at that time.

Can you find out the name and location of the pho place your boss took you to?
There are many of them on Kingsway but I don't know which one to try.

We went to Pho Thai Hoa on Kingsway on Sat. The pho was good. I think some how it's better than the Richmond location. I also had the fresh avocado shake and it was very nice and refreshing.
But I think Green  Lemongrass still has better spring rolls.

Pho 99 is pretty good, although the soup base is not as 濃 as other places, the taste is just right.  

Lan was pretty good before, but after they changed the owner, the meat became so awful...  I thi ...

I am sure 亞洲美食 owner hasn't changed for a LONG time. So owner of Lan and 亞洲美食 is different.
