My friend encountered exactly same thing...somehow their "witnesses" come out of nowhere..., in an accident of almost no traffic near by..
My brother's friend once had exactly the same thing. He got hit in an intersection by an Indian. The other party brought up a witness and said the opposite story. He end up 100% at fault.
