Right, isn't it normal for any electronic device?! I first thought it was due to excessive talking time or stuff like that tim.

well.. 'cause ppl have been using the new iphone as GPS device in their cars... which is kindda a feature that the new iphone pushed.

But well...... after every use of the GPS feature on the iPhone (or any formal GPS device), people shouldn't just let it expose on the car dash when leaving the vehicle (something like leaving it on the suction cup holder which attached on the windshield or stuff like that) anyway. Don't people ever heard about news of baby or elderly or pet got grilled or killed for leaving them in car under hot sun? iPhone is not an unique and only problem la.

It is the direct sunlight for a prolong period of time that harms the phone, not only leaving it in the car.

Err...... my example was "leave on the suction cup holder which attached on the windshield", meant exposes to direct sunlight, not inside the grove box or any compartment. For exposing to direct sunlight in a prolong period of time, even any electronic calculator or mp3 player would be damaged la.
