You just watch how Greece, Italy, Spain, US and Japan go bankrupt one after another, you will then realize how high the living standards Hong Kong has.

There are few places in the world that has higher living standards than Hong Kong.
Hong Kong can actually afford what they buy (health care, education, welfare), as the Hong Kong government doesn't need to borrow huge amounts of debt to finance their social services.
