It does not make sense at all. Even if Japan is a large producer of iodine, they are not going to put a lot of iodine in their water supply, since they know they eat way too much sea weed in their diet already. Excessive iodine is not good.
As for the milk powder's lack of iodine, this also does not make sense, since people do not feed their babies with seaweed. |
