Logically, when we looked down on other people in the past, for whatever reasons, those same people are now looking down on us.

Those who go to HK for babies, are not necessarily the same people who think HK people are dogs.

If 共產黨 find it "difficult to rule China", then let someone else do it.  They have been in power since 1 Oct 1949.  It is not today suddenly we have 13B people.

That is why democracy is good, as it allows the opposition a chance to manage the country. Only then will the opposition realize how difficult it is to run a country and satisfy all sectors of the country.

HK citizens are not dogs
but they are certainly an angry bunch

They should be very happy, since Hong Kong is one of the few places where the economy is strong and the government has budget surpluses.

HK;s economic prosperity only benefits a small group.  HK government's surplus ...

HK's economic prosperity benefits a wide range of people. The HK government has so much money. That is why their tax rates are so low and they don't have HST. Every citizen benefits from low tax rates now. Future generations of HK people will not be burdened by any public debt.

Just when most other countries are insolvent, Hong Kong government's strong financial situation attracts even more foreign investors, creating even more jobs, as evident by HK's very low unemployment rate.

What's that all about for this map??
lo_pak 發表於 2012-1-21 08:57

Looks like an irrelevant map.

Just look around the world's economy, when most countries are near bankruptcy, Hong Kong's strong economy and very low unemployment rate is the envy of the world.

Hong Kong's high living standard sustainability is remarkable, just when Europe, Japan and US are struggling to prevent their living standards from sliding down further.

Doesn't matter.
No one wants to go back to China.
But if it really happens, there's nothing u can ...

Taiwan is different, as Taiwan people are able to speak Mandarin and without western colonial mentality.

Taiwan Chinese also use "素質" instead of "質素"?

American, European and Japanese tourists no longer go to Hong Kong. Most of them go to China instead to see authentic Chinese history and culture.

Hong Kong people want to get rich, but they are not as innovative as China which has lots of technology companies.
