today

this kid  came up to me  i met him couple times  and we sat down and chat  and he told me he got admitted into UBC  which was good news  and then we talked  and he told me his parents got divorced  he is now living with his mom  and his father was the bad guy  and he told me lots of things  like how his dad tricked his mom's money  and the house  and he gambled  and he hit him on his head  and

he kept telling me his father is a psychopath i dunno if this kid ever told anybody about this or if i am the only person he ever speaks to

there was a police car passing by  and i thought about helping him out with the law  and go arrest his father  this kid was looking for something from me  i didnt believe in enforcing the law onto him and his family  all i did at that point  was to bring him out of the dark  mentally  i wanna give him strength  so he can handle things by himself  

even i got his father arrested  its still in his memory  at least this is what i am telling myself right now  i made the right choice  and if some kid come up the news tomorrow morning beaten to death in his father's house  well  i dunno  i dunno where he lives so  nothing i can do right now  but talking bout it on the net

he was on his way to visit his father on a friday night

anyways right now i am trying to digest all these in my brain but its not going anywhere

R: as far as i know there is no bylaw against feeding the birds and there is no bylaw against pooing on the car either

R: we can give you a ticket for not wearing any helmet and a ticket for riding on the side walk ( two older guys probably in high ranks ) but this time we won't

(all i ever did was squeezed by the cop car to make a right while they were stuck at a red light and then they came after me) (but yes you do need a helmet or pay a $29 fine)

under most circumstances if i am running into rice or noodles or spaghetti i will try to find a fork or two straws to work as chopsticks and if i can only find one straw i will fold it halfway and work with it and i am doing all these just to be polite and meanwhile keep my hands clean

my opinion is that in extreme circumstances when you and your food meet at the perfect moment and you do not prefer any other distraction the best way to get over it is 用手

during my peak homeless period some people called me the wild man and some people spitted at me and my level of civilization  whatever it is  you get a general idea of the possibility and potential when your identity is a bum  whether you think this is appropriate or not  it's completely personal  

altho eating with your fingers in public might fall into the category of DISORDERLY CONDUCT indecent act UNDER THE CRIMINAL CODE (*)  i've never got charged myself but i did got the police's attention many many times not to mention the security guards in most shopping malls  you might not believe anything i have said but that was my nomadic lifestyle in a nutshell  and i will use my hand without hesitation  the end

afterwords: i had a friend from africa once and i went to her place and had a meal with her and her mom  they actually showed me how to eat with my hands properly  with 4 fingers holding the food and pushed it into my mouth with the thumb  i wasn't very good at that time  now that she is back to africa to her people  and i am pretty much living that primitive life in some aspects  except i surf the net

i kind of miss my days when i was brushing my teeth in the public washrooms with the fellow homeless guys  it's like  we looked at each other  and we both carried everything on us  blankets clothes whatever  and then  we met  and we were brushing our teeth  that was pretty awesome  

and then  there was the carnegie center  the gathering place  and you feel the vibe  and you know there are crimes  in their head  not everybody but  quite a majority  and that scared the **** out of me  i never did get close to anybody in that group  that was in the year 02 03 period

and then  you started to look for a place  to take a shower  and you discover some community centers with a side door  which leads you into the shower room  and one day  you walked in there  and a bunch of other guys  coming from the gym  and they looked at you  and you looked at them  and i always remember to grab a coffee cup  and pour myself some hand soap  before i start

and you started to look for a place  to sleep  and you get kicked out by the security 3am in the morning   so you keep walking  and eventually  you noticed some people on the street  with so much peace  and you started to make friends with them  and learn from them

years gone by and as you get older like myself you ended up writing bout in on LYK and i think when will i be able to give up everything one more time and go after my dream it's like if i live that life one more time i don't know cause i already knew and i can't just repeat myself following my own footsteps and i wanna move forward

never mind i should stop talking and go do something real

繼續吹水 friday nite 我通常都係 lowkey  too many kids on the street drinking  looking for drugs  looking to sell to buy  a "homeless guy" like myself  should stay out of the public sight  on a regular friday nite  IMO

one time some kids were drunk  sitting on the top floor of one of the highrises at Garden City and Westminster Hwy  i saw them and they saw me  and one guy dumped a few eggs down  thank god i had my helmet on  and they missed by about 10 to 20 feet

i had to stand there for so long  to claim my territory  (plus getting some attention from the public since the eggs were still on the road)  eventually i no longer could see any of their faces showing  either they were hiding or they went back inside

今日先 比個阿婆 問我借錢 我識佢新抱 同佢幾好傾 好似兩姊弟 係無正式發展姊弟戀 試過好close 好危險 差啲踩過界 之後佢就 潛水 派佢奶奶黎踩場 有日我執左 十蚊 啤酒樽 比呢位婆婆見到 佢條氣唔順 今日就 埋黎 問我借錢 又話自己無錢開飯又話老公有病


我嚮度 食緊早餐 傾傾下 佢無喇喇問我 係咪嚮屋企帶定啲野黎食 我就指下 我側便個 dumpster 跟住佢就 即刻 走 一路走 一路作嘔 須則佢係長輩但有可能未見過呢啲世面 希望佢 嘔晒出黎就 龍馬精神 長命百歲
