Melted snow leads to icy Metro Vancouver roads

Black ice caused temporary road closures including Fraser Highway between 208th and 216th streets in Langley, as well as areas of Coquitlam.
"Municipalities are out there salting and sanding, but there are delays throughout the bus system at this time," TransLink's Drew Snider said in a release.
Although transit workers prepared for the worst last night, no major disruptions were noted and all service continued to run smoothly into the morning, said Snider.
Multiple buses have been re-routed because of increasingly icy road conditions.
SkyTrains are not currently affected.
Drivers and pedestrians who venture out this evening are advised to dress warmly and use extra caution while on the road.
An Environment Canada weather alert ending the warning was issued this morning shortly after 7 a.m.
