so you should get laughed at when you donate 300 dollars?
how many people donate $0 and get thousands of dollars from the government?

and, what is the rationale behind this idea of looking everything in terms of %s?
so if a person only has 10 dollars and he donates all 10 dollars, he makes a bigger contribution that a guy who has 10,000 and donates 1,000, even though the benefits to the society are 100 times greater?

to me, a dollar is a dollar

that's why I always laugh when I see someone trying to save 50% on a $10 item but overpays 10% on a $1000 item
